Vortex Marine Construction, Inc. has been awarded a contract for structural upgrades and repairs of San Francisco Pier 40 for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency.

Pier 40, located on The Embarcadero at Townsend Street, is part of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency’s South Beach Harbor complex in the Rincon Point-South Beach Redevelopment Project Area. The harbor was originally constructed in the mid-1980s, with additional improvements, including the harbor services building and disabled access facilities, added in recent years.
