Vortex Marine Construction, Inc, earned CRB’s Award of Excellence in the Industrial Category for the Port of Canaveral North Cargo Piers Concrete Repair and Cathodic Protection, in Cape Canaveral, FL.

After many years of exposure to the ocean’s corrosive saltwater, the north cargo piers at Port Canaveral had suffered mild to severe corrosion, causing extensive spalling and delimitation of the concrete structure.

After a thorough evaluation, Vortex Marine Construction, Inc. was called in for a major rehabilitation to extend the life of the existing structures and prevent a very costly removal and reconstruction of the cargo piers — earning them the Award of Excellence.
