Vortex Marine Construction, Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Port of San Francisco for the demolition and new construction of Pier 43 on the San Francisco waterfront. Vortex’s scope will include demolition of the existing timber pier, replacement of the seawall along The Embarcadero, construction of a new 24” pile supported concrete wharf to serve as a public promenade, and reconstruction and realignment of a portion of The Embarcadero.
