On this San Mateo Harbor job, Vortex was responsible for the mechanical dredging of approximately 5,600 cubic yard of sediment at Pillar Point Harbor Boat Launch Ramp. To complete this project we has to construct a 0.79 acre upland dredge material disposal site on Perch Beach, west of the dredge site.

This project required that a new 1280 foot concrete breakwater be constructed to protect the Emeryville Harbor and Marina due to the severe degradation of the existing timber structure.

This project consisted of a complete rebuild of an operating 250 slip deepwater marina. Vortex, as prime contractor, coordinated the phased operations of demolition, dredging and new installation of a proprietary heavy timber dock system with prestressed concrete piles.
